Willie F. Johnson is Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of PRWI' Services, Inc. Headquartered in Philadelphia,
Penn., with six additional offices around the United States, PRWT
is one of the fastest growing minority-owned and operated companies
in the nation. Mr. Johnson came to the company from the position of
CEO of Fidelity Systems Inc., a cable/line construction company, which
he owned.
Previously, Mr. Johnson served in senior government management positions
for more than 18 years. Among his public sector assignments, Mr. Johnson
was the Commissioner of the Office of Social Services (South-eastern
Region), Director of the Youth Services Coordinating Office for the
City of Philadelphia and Executive Director of the Philadelphia Office
of Employment and Training.
It was during his tenure at the Philadelphia Office of Employment
and Education that Mr. Johnson conceptualized the themes and management
processes that are more prominent in PRWT. |
His office administered an annual budget
of more than $120 million and a staff of 285, which provide vocational,
educational and employment services to more than 36,000 Philadelphia
residents and 6,000 public sector employees.
A graduate of Allen University in Columbia, S.C., with a Bachelor
of Arts in Sociology, Mr. Johnson continued his social services education
with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Johnson's involvement in community activities extends considerably
beyond the various local endeavors of PRWT. His Board affiliations
mirror his commitment to education, employment and cultural diversity.
They include the American Heart Association, Cheyney University Foundation,
Girard College, the Perkiomen School, the Urban League of Philadelphia,
the African-American Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Southeastern
Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Tribune, the oldest minority-owned
newspaper in the nation. |
